Belly Up Live is proud to announce the digital release of Fernando Viciconte's Live at The Belly Up. Recorded in Solana Beach, CA at the Belly Up nightclub on July 26, 2016, the album features nine tracks including several songs from Fernando's critically acclaimed 2015 release Leave The Radio On. Also included are tracks from Fernando's 2010 release True Instigator, his 1997 release Widows, and 1998's Pacoima, as well as a touching cover of the late Jim Boyer's Three Sheets To The Wind.

Argentina-born Fernando Viciconte came of age musically in L.A. fronting the popular hard rock band Monkey Paw. He moved to Portland, OR, in 1994 where he has recorded eight studio albums, and will be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame this October alongside Sleater Kinney, Pete Krebs, Duffy Bishop, Tim Ellis, Brian Berg and Paul Brainard.

"This live recording is a good representation of Dan Eccles (Richmond Fontaine) and my duo set which we performed while opening for our friends The Jayhawks on our 2016 tour to promote our new record Leave The Radio On. This recording is raw and loose, just like the people making the music. It was our first time playing the wonderful Belly Up too!”

Track Listing:
1. White Trees (Live)
2. Como Sueno (Live)
3. True Instigator (Live)
4. The Dogs (Live)
5. Save Me (Live)
6. Three Sheets to The Wind (Live)
7. Watchtower (Live)
8. Kingdom Come (Live)
9 Beautiful (Live)

You can also stream the album in its entirety on YouTube.

This week's podcast guest is Lukas Nelson! I first met him many years ago when he came up to our booking office during a meeting an my co worker Beth and I tried to take photos of us but really it was just to get him in the background! I loved hearing his stories about how he is - I would call it - energetically relaxed. He was extremely present during our interview and had a lot of interesting things to say about his political stance, touring with Neil Young and his former days as a competitive swimmer!

I really appreciate what a kind soul he is and look forward to talking with him again soon. This episode also got a ton of positive listener feedback from his fans and that is honestly why we do what we do! Hopefully his fans loved hearing him open up, and the Belly Up podcast fans got to learn why we love Lukas so much and consider him family. Belly Up Live Podcast Host Meryl Klemow.
